About

About Her Cloud
Her Cloud is a student-led community supporting women and nonbinary students pursuing information technology and related fields. We create a space where beginners feel welcome, emerging technologists get hands-on practice, and advanced members can lead, teach, and mentor. Our programs are designed to meet you where you are—whether you’re exploring your first line of code or preparing for internships, research, and full-time roles.
Founded to close opportunity gaps and increase representation, Her Cloud focuses on practical skill-building, career readiness, and belonging. We host technical workshops, project sprints, and study groups; connect members with mentors and industry speakers; and provide structured pathways to build portfolios, confidence, and leadership experience.
Members engage in topics spanning cloud computing, security, data and AI, software engineering, and product fundamentals. Along the way, we emphasize collaboration, ethical practice, and real-world impact—equipping our community to thrive academically, professionally, and personally in tech.
Mission
Empower our members to explore, build, and lead in technology by offering learning opportunities, mentorship, and a welcoming community. We lower barriers to entry with beginner-friendly pathways and practical, portfolio-ready experiences. We also cultivate leadership by encouraging members to teach, mentor, and organize initiatives that uplift the whole community.
